Wellsom works. Based on extensive research, it reacts with odor-causing chemicals to eliminate bacteria. Other products mask or cover up odors that only return when the perfume effect wears off.
Wellsom prevents bad breath because it kills the bacteria responsible for the odor, eliminating offensive gases. It also hydrates inflamed, dry oral tissue, and stops burning. When used as directed, you'll get 12 hours of relief from dry mouth symptoms. Wellsom also makes eating and swallowing comfortable without the need for continuous water ingestion.
All mouths are different, but you'll likely feel a slight tingling the first time you use it. A very refreshing, sweet-mint taste replaces breath odor. If you have dry mouth symptoms, you should feel moisturization, similar to applying lotion to dry skin. After rinsing with Wellsom, you'll notice a clean and fresh sensation on all mouth surfaces.
Our solution is shipped to you pre-activated, made-to-order to ensure it's
mixed properly, so you consistently receive the best possible product.
The oral rinses and the appliance cleaner contain:
Deionized Water: This solvent is most of the solution
Natural Glycerine: A carrier that brings out the sweet mint flavor
Sodium Chlorite: An oxidizer that keeps your mouth fresh
Sodium Hypobromite: An oxidizer enhancer
Sodium Carbonate: A stabilizer that keeps the solution stable
Citric Acid: A pH adjuster
Benzoic Acid: Preservative
Organic Peppermint Oil: Flavoring and fragrance
Wellsom products are non-toxic and non-abrasive, but do not swalloworingest them. We recommend that children be supervised when using Wellsom products.
Chlorine dioxide is a safe and effective antibacterial/antimicrobial agent that penetrates bacterial cell walls and organic structures. It kills viruses by preventing protein formation, keeps bacteria from becoming resistant, and requires no abrasion to be effective.
Sodium chlorite, sodium hypobromite, citric acid, and the acidic compounds in the mouth combine to form a halogenated salt mixture that produces chlorine dioxide.
No. The chemistry has been around since the 1940s and is used in water supplies. After being extensively studied by the EPA, it concluded that Chlorine Dioxide is a gas that dissolves in water and is different from chlorine-bleach or chlorine.
The Hydrating Oral Rinse contains sodium hyaluronate to attract water and moisturize the mouth for extended periods. The more you moisturize, the better your mouth feels.
You should experience the freshness immediately, but building a perfect environment takes time. So if you're using the product for dry mouth relief, this may take a few consecutive days.
Use it before brushing and wait a good 30 minutes.
Although organic peppermint oil is associated with sinus-clearing effects, our rinses won't have a substantial impact on a post-nasal drip.
At least once per day, but there's no usage limit. Those undergoing any kind of treatment should stick to their practitioners' instructions.
Wellsom rinses should be poured into our measuring cup, small paper cups, or a glass container. Shot glasses are a great, sustainable option, too. Try to avoid using plastic since some plastics have contaminants that can make our solution less effective.
Drinking water is always a good idea, but you should rinse with the Hydrating Oral Rinse if you're experiencing dry mouth. Water as a dry mouth solution is only sufficient for a short time. The Wellsom Hydrating Oral Rinse and Hydrating Oral Rinse Pro contain sodium hyaluronate to provide lasting relief.
Wait 30 minutes after rinsing with the Hydrating Oral Rinse before brushing with toothpaste. Or wait 30 minutes after brushing before rinsing with the Hydrating Oral Rinse. Either option works.
Toothpaste coats the teeth and gums, creating a high barrier against food particles and bacteria. Unfortunately, this also means it acts as a barrier against Wellsom products.
Daily use helps to maintain oral health. Preventing oral disease has a lot to do with our body's immune system, which varies day-to-day or changes with aging and medical issues.
Wellsom oral rinses work best on the natural tooth and gum surfaces, so rinse with dentures out. If you wear dentures overnight, soak them briefly in the Wellsom Oral Appliance Cleaner before bed.
Oral Appliance Cleaner
The Wellsom appliance cleaner should be poured into our Wellsom appliance jar or a glass container. Small glass food storage containers are great sustainable options, but keep them out of direct sunlight. Avoid using plastic since some plastics are made with contaminants that can make our solution less effective.
A minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 1 hour. Remember, you should be wearing your retainers for almost 24 hours a day.
If replaced weekly, the 16 fl. oz. bottle should last about a month. Some full dentures might require a little more than 4 fl.oz. to submerge, and some small plastic aligners may need less.
Halitosis, or bad breath, can affect anyone at any time. If you suffer from this problem, it can affect your work, relationships, and other life areas. Often you don't even know you have the disease, and others may be hesitant to mention your bad breath.
Many factors can cause bad breath. The practitioners at Wellsom Oral Medical Centers are experts in determining the source of halitosis and how to treat it.
It's easy to blame poor oral hygiene for halitosis, but that's not always the case. Just because someone is experiencing bad breath doesn't mean they don't brush their teeth. Bad breath is caused by bacteria living on the back of the tongue excreting sulfur compounds. The rotten egg smell (hydrogen sulfide) and the barnyard smell (methyl mercaptan) are known as VSC's, or volatile sulfur compounds.
Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of an underlying medical condition or disease. For example, Ketoacidosis occurs in people with diabetes when there's insufficient glucose in the blood for the body to use as energy. An obvious sign of this is a fruity-smelling odor in the breath. People with eating disorders may experience halitosis, as well as frequent dieters. Breath with a fishy smell or is reminiscent of urine or ammonia may be evident in people with chronic kidney failure.
